Universal Fear vs. Love

universeGiven the topic of this blog yesterday, today’s wisdom from the Universe is very apropos. This could be the blurb for Abhean’s story.

When fear speaks, Silver, it’s always wrong.

And when love speaks, Silver, it’s always right… and usually bouncy.

Maybe I should add FAERIE FEAR to the contest for a title? Or FAERIE FAITH? FAERIE FORGIVENESS? Can you tell I’m obsessing? 😆

My title woes aside, think about the Universe’s message. Think about the thing you are most fearful of. Your fear gives it life, makes it grow. Don’t listen to fear. It’s wrong. And deep down, we all know the truth of that. How do we overcome fear? We give life to love. Yeah. It’s pretty simple when it works.

Of course, it doesn’t help that I stalled out on words yesterday in the middle of a love scene. When I read the PS, you know exactly where my mind went. 😈

What do you fear today?

Ooh, I like FAERIE FAITH – it has a little Christmas feel to it, too! Great advice, once again, from The Universe.

    Now, get back to work!!

CP also voted for FAERIE FAITH at coffee this morning. I think that’s a go. 😆

I was up early and wrote 1K words before heading to coffee. I’m not catching up on email, blogs, etc. and then I’ll settle in for more writing this afternoon.

  2. Yep, FAERIE FAITH has the most Christmasy ring to it.

I don’t know if I’d exactly call it fear of rejection that keeps me from querying at this point. It’s more like fear of the same ol’ crap. Send the query out, get rejected, revise the query, send it out, more rejection, revise the book, revise the query, sent it out… and so on so on so forth until I say ‘screw this’ and work on another book. Except I’ve gotten to the point of wondering ‘why write another book that’s going to just dance the same dance’. Ya know what I mean, jellybean? It’s like a sick writerly version of Groundhog Day. :endrant:

And yeah, I’m still going to be sending out queries today. After my stupid yearly physical this morning. Bleh.

I feel your rant, B.E. I do know what you mean, jellybean but speaking of faith… And fear… Living in our heads as we do is not always easy or comfortable. Wanting and getting are always oceans apart but remember that faith? And love? Yeah, sometimes the good stuff happens. Hang in there!
