I’m a sucker for Christmas carols. There. I admitted it. So…each Friday in December, I’m going to feature a video of a few of my faves, starting with this LITTLE DRUMMER BOY rendition by Pentatonix. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
I like walks on the wild side and coffee. Lots of coffee. Warning: My Muse runs with scissors. Author of several award-winning series--Moonstruck, Nightriders MC, The Penumbra Papers, and Red Dirt Royalty (Harlequin Desire) & other books! Purveyor of magic, mystery, mayhem and romance. Lots and lots of romance.
Morning girlie-
hope you are staying warm!
mom is pointing an angry finger on your Christmas carol for friday-
she disliked that song, not sure why, but I would make sure I would let her know it was on -lmao
O come oh e faithful- i I have a CD by Celine that she does that.
well were doing inventory so back to counting
have a great day everybody stay warm
Oops! Tell her sorry. 😉 And mention that I’l try for some more traditional tunes before the season is over! 🙂 We have about 6 inches of snow. I’m not budging outside beyond feeding the wild critters. 😆
Pretty version! I could only listen to about a third of it before I started getting choked up, though. That song reminds me of the TV special they did of it in the 70’s… and I get thinking about the little donkey and… :sniffle:
My favorite carols are Silent Night and O Holy Night (usually both as done by Nat King Cole.) I also love ‘Christmas Time Is Here’ off the Snoopy jazz soundtrack. Oh, and Last Christmas by Wham. (Yes, I’m dating myself, but it’s still really good.)
The Peanuts Christmas special is a tradition around here, along with White Christmas. LG still gets teary-eyed at the scene when everyone gives the general a standing ovation. 🙂 Those are all good choices!
Morning Miss Silver, thank you for sharing this beautiful version of the Drummer Boy. The voices are heavenly. This time of the year, I’m listening to my Christmas Trans-Siberian Orchestra CDs. Stay warn and have a great weekend! 🙂
I love TSO, Sandy! They do a Christmas concert here and every year I think I’ll get tickets for the family and every year, I remember too late and they’re sold out. 😦 One of my favorite videos is a brewery’s Christmas decorations choreographed to TSO. 😀
Love that song – and it has special memories because when I was teaching in the Arctic, one of my students specifically asked for that carol (“Can you play ‘The Rubber-Bum-Bum’ song, Ms. Murray?” – back before I was married)!!
Love all the Christmas music – Just.Not.In. November!! I’ll be breaking out my holiday music this weekend, if we put up the tree!!
I remember you telling the story of the RUBBER BUM BUM song one year, Janet! Always puts a smile on my face! And I agree. No Christmas music or specials until AFTER Thanksgiving!

Janet, thank you for typing the rubber bum bum. That is what mom called it!
