Brand New Monday

It’s a new month. A new season. A new week. But that means it’s Monday. Ah well. One day needs to take all the blame for the yuck. So, there was a week just past. It happened. I’ll admit to wanting to hibernate because things stomped over my last nerve of patience and the level of stupidity and hypocracy swallowed me whole. It affected my quality of writing. It’s hard to write happy romance when you’d rather be burning stuff down.

On a happier note, I finished up all the revisions and edits of BILLIONAIRE COUNTRY and the final was accepted. March 1, 2019 release. I have the preview cover but can’t share it yet. I love the back blurb too. So that’s all yay. 🙂

My Cards sort of collapsed at there at the end. They played themselves out of post-season play. There were two divisional ties in the National League. There are teams in both the NL and the AL that I can root for without being tense so I can sit back and enjoy the play-offs and the World Series. This was also a better college football weekend for my two teams. OSU handily beat Kansas and OU did the same to Baylor. As a result, OSU is back in the AP poll at #25 but for some reason, OU was dropped a spot. The AP hates the Big 12. Whatever.

I’m down to the last two books in my re-listen to Suzanne Wright’s interconnected wolf shifter series. Not sure what I’ll jump into next. The next book in Nalini Singh’s Archangel/Guildhunter series drops the end of this month and I’ll do a complete relisten because it’s a favorite series and any excuse, right? That’s my thinking.

TV. Yeah…not watching it much. See the first paragraph. LIVE PD is still a staple, thank goodness. I have to admit, I’m sort of in a weird headspace and while I have a couple of drama-type series on the DVR but I’m just not in the mood. I’m so tired of all the BS in my head. My goal this week is to figure a way to blow out all that crap.

On another happy note, JGG’s soccer team won 12-0 and he made 2 or 3 goals. Not that any of us were counting or anything At this age, they all play for the participation medals and fun.

On that note, time to get blowing. New words, fixing old words, and finding some sunshine in a world where I need to wear hip boots. How was your weekend? Any plans for this week?

  1. SQUEE for Billionaire Country! And now I shall forget about it completely so I don’t pine for the next 5 months.

If it weren’t for Live PD, I wouldn’t have much to watch these days. Everything fictional has actors and they’re mostly pissing me off these days. The new season of The Durrells in Corfu started last night on PBS, and that’s strange but amusing. Reruns of Dr. Pol. Desert Flippers.

    Yay for JGG!

The weekend here was quiet. We went out to the lake, but just to wander around and blow the gunk out of our systems. I read a book this weekend you might like – The Krewe by Seth Pevey. It’s on KU, if your eyes can handle a read. I made Oatmeal Jam Bars. Yummers. Other than that, nada.

Night Watch Nation and LIVE PD CAM (with Sticks Larson) is coming back soon too. That’ll help. And I heard you on the actors. There are a whole bunch of actors and authors that I won’t spend money or time on any more. I think I saw THE KREWE on a daily deal email or something. It sounds familiar. I’ll check it out. 🙂

Glad you got some of the gunk blown out. I’m still waiting for my head to clear. Not sure that’s gonna happen any time soon. 😛

      Hang in there this week!
