We’ve got a recipe for cheesy bacon-ranch appetizer bread bites even non-bakers can make. (Get out the frozen bread dough!)
What You Need
1 loaf (1 lb.) frozen bread dough, thawed
2 tsp. oil
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 pkg. (1 oz.) ranch salad dressing mix
1 pkg. (12 oz.) OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces, cooked
Let’s Make It
1 – Roll bread dough into 1/2-inch-thick rectangle on lightly floured surface; brush with oil. Cut into 1-inch pieces; place in large bowl.
2 – Add cheese, dressing mix and bacon; mix lightly. Place on baking sheet; shape gently into oval loaf. Let rise in warm place 2 hours or until doubled in volume.
3 – Heat oven to 350°F. Bake bread 20 to 30 min. or until golden brown. Cool 10 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
Kitchen Tips
Tip 1 – Note: For best results, cook bacon just until done, but not crisp.
Tip 2 – Reviews talk about it being salty. Maybe dip pieces?
My Tip – You can pour out a variety of dipping sauces and if you’re polite, use toothpicks to stab and dip. (Rhys says, “Forget that! Just grab a plastic fork.)
To get all the nutritional info and reviews, CLICK HERE to head over to My Food and Family. Who remembers Celie Monaghan from BLOOD & FIRE? She and her Wolf mate Rhys Kendric might be out in the Texas boonies but he’ll head straight to town to buy the ingredients for what is turning into his favorite snack. Rhys likes salsa or buffalo wing sauce. Celie likes the added flavor of Ranch dressing for dipping. If you haven’t caught up with this couple, grab their book, Blood & Fire, a Moonstruck Wolf Novel. It’s standalone so a decent intro to my world. Their’s is a case of mistaken identity, revenge, and…well…read the book! 😉 Just click on the title or the cover and zip over to Amazon to buy it or read for free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. What are y’all munching on these days? And what are you doing to stay occupied?
Those sound yummy. I love how your relate all these recipes to your characters. It really makes them come alive. I love Rhys and Celie, too. So much awesome.
Right now, I’m not munching too much. Chips and nuts while we still have them. Baked goods when I feel like making them. I need to make a batch of granola bars, but those are mainly for Hubs and The Night Owl (the Kid’s new nickname). I also need to make another chocolate cake – because chocolate cake.
Totally agree on the chocolate cake! LG has taken to bringing me a bag of chocolate peanut clusters when he drops by Braums to get his snickerdoodle fix. 😉 Hey, Night Owls and Early Birds can pass in the dark with a wave and get along just great. Also…family separation for the win!
And thanks. I’ll admit it’s a way to remind or introduce people to books and characters and hopefully catch their attention so they’ll go check out my backlist. Heaven knows I suck and marketing! 😆 Hang in there. Surely we’ll turn the corner (curve, whatever) sooner than later.
