Friday Sinema: Southern Weather

Yes, the weather was miserable this week. But we Southerners are resilient if nothing else. Also, we’ve learned to laugh and roll with the punches. Now we’re just waiting for the snow mountains to melt and the temps to return to normal. Predicting 60 for a high on Wednesday. Have a great weekend, y’all, and stay weather aware! 😉

  1. I think one of the other seasons got ticked at Winter this year and scheduled him for way more time down here than he wanted. Or he got mad at them and scheduled himself. Either way, it’s just rude.

Hubs and I spent time yesterday taking care of an ice dam that had formed on the back roof. Yay. Not. Fingers crossed no other dams form because that part of the roof was the easiest to get to. The neighbor’s well dude told him the pipes are totally roached. They came and got more water from us yesterday because the stores around here are out of bottled water. It’s yuck all over. On the bright side, they plowed our road.

Hey, a plowed road is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp icicle. And so sorry for your neighbors. Hope their homeowners will cover the repairs. This sucker was like a 100-year event, or using the “word of the day” on the news: unprecedented weather. Me? I’m ready for some precedented time. Just sayin’!

We’re slowly climbing out of the deep freezer. Still have all the basics. Saw all but two of the ferals this morning and I don’t think Mamacat has had her kits yet. 🤞 I’m missing Shylock and BG. We’ll see if they reappear after the warm-up–if Lucifer moves on back to his normal habitat. If he takes up residence here, I may never see the other boys again. 😦

      Stay warm out there!

Got something to say?
