Thursday Thoughts: Universal Joy

Sometimes, you just need to pause, or even take a step back from the world. Just so you can remember that there is more to life. There are days when the thought of sticking your head out the door to see what’s going on seems like an extreme measure. But you should. When things get crazy and you despair of finding balance, take a deep breath. The Universe has you covered.

If your breathing itself was not proof enough that you are loved beyond comprehension, Silver, then how about your freedom to feel unlimited joy, in spite of circumstances that surround you?

Big hug,
The Universe

Not to mention, Silver, maple syrup, turquoise, and butterflies.

I’m all about the maple syrup, turquoise, and butterflies. What brings you joy when the world looks dire?

  1. Hubs. Chester Chipmunk. Rockette Raccoon. Lumpy and the Twins. Hawthorne butterflies that follow me when I’m walking and sometimes sit on my shoulder for a ride. Kingfishers zooming along the river and the slow plodding flight of the great herons. Violets in the lawn in the spring and faux strawberries in the summer. Itty-bitty frogs and teeny-tiny snakes. Bunnies of all ages.. The woods turning a whole palette of color in the fall. Hanging out with friends – whatever form that takes. When one of my stories comes together.

Thanks for making me think about the joy first thing this morning. It was totally necessary. I was bleary-eyed and feeling rough. (Mowed after dinner last night. With more mowing ahead today. Ugh.)

We get busy and we forget sometimes to just stop and breathe and think about the good. I’m glad I remembered to do so and remind others at a point when you needed it. You live in a sometimes magical place and sometimes I get a little jealous. 😉 Psst I love those those wild violets in the yard too! Stay cool today–mow in small bits with breaks.
