Tueday Treats and Titles: Loaded Baked Potato Cheese Crisps

There’s still at least one more World Series game, and there’s lots of football and that other sport that happens this time of year (yeah, not a basketball fan but whatever…) and these quick and easy snacks are perfect for munching.

Total Time: 20 Min.
Prep Time: 15 Min.
Cook Time: 5-8 Min.
11 servings, 4 crisps each

Try these Loaded Baked Potato Cheese Crisps for a savory appetizer. Top crispy potato chips with cheddar cheese and bacon in this flavorful Loaded Baked Potato Cheese Crisps recipe.

What You Need
1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
4 slices cooked OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crumbled
1 cup finely crushed sour cream & onion potato chips

Let’s Make It
1 – Heat oven to 375°F.
2 – Combine ingredients.
3 – Drop into 44 mounds, 1 inch apart, onto parchment-covered baking sheets, using about 1 Tbsp. cheese mixture for each mound. Flatten slightly with back of spoon.
4 – Bake 5 to 8 min. or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet 2 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Kitchen Tips
Tip 1 – Serving Suggestion: Serve on a cheese platter along with grapes and your favorite PLANTERS Nuts.

Tip 2 – How to Crush the Potato Chips: Use pulsing action of food processor to process the chips until finely crushed. Or, place chips in resealable plastic bag. Squeeze excess air from bag, then seal bag. Crush chips into crumbs by rolling a rolling pin over bag until chips are finely crushed.

My Tips: 4 doesn’t seem like enough for a serving. Several reviewers have doubled the recipe. One used Pringles turkey bacon to cut down on sodium and fat. Another added more chips because she wanted more potato flavor. I get the feeling this is an easy recipe to play with.

My Food and Family came to the rescue with this one so click over to get all the details. And I want y’all to know, Hannah Jackson McIntire was turning cartwheels in her yard when I showed this recipe to her. “F*cking A! Something I can fix!!!”** So yeah, if Hannah can make this, anyone can. If you like quite a bit of Hannah’s story, along with her mate Mac’s, check out MOONSTRUCK: SECRETS. It’s a “compendium” novel with two short novels (BLOOD MOON and BAD MOON) and chapters that weren’t included in either of those books. You can click over to BOOKS2READ to find your favorite on-line store. Or, you can click on the cover or the pic with the yummies! What about y’all? Are you always looking for easy-peasy yummies?

**Caveat: Mac and Liam took the blender away from her because she forgot to put the top on it before turning it on. She did much better with the rolling pin method. Also, less clean-up, so that’s a win!

  1. OMG, I love Hannah so much! And yeah, Mac and Liam should probably keep her away from the food processor.

My yummies usually don’t require any effort at all… you know, because I’m super lazy.

    • Silver James says:

These are about as effortless as they come, other than piling chips on a plate, sprinkling with cheese and sticking in the microwave. 😉 And yeah, I’ll admit to a soft spot in my heart for Hannah. LOL

Got something to say?
