Today’s message is a short one. While the Universe is more than likely referring to what’s in our lives, as a writer, I’m always looking at the message behind the message as it applies to what I do in and with my life as a writer. I’m sure you see what I did there, coming full circle with that sentence. Hey, sometimes, that’s how I roll and today, I’m rolling with it. Stop a moment and think along two lines–your life AND your work…
To see what one has been missing, Silver, is the whole point of every life.
See?
The Universe
©www.tut.comPlus, Silver, seeing more is how to love more.
When I edit and revise a manuscript, whether it be short story, novella, novel, or nonfiction, I have to keep an eye on what’s missing. Is it a word? An incomplte thought? A scene that needs more action? Or more emotion? Are my characters growing and changing as they should? Is the plot unfolding in the correct order of events? And yes, what’s missing is the whole point of editing and revision.Because, trust me. There is ALWAYS something missing.
Now, there’s just regular life. You know the one. We get up. We move through our day and then our night. We live doing what we do. Is there something missing in our lives? Is there humor? Caring? Friendship? Joy? Heck, even sadness has a time and a place. But must of all, is there love? That’s the question. In life and in writing romances. So, what are you missing today?>
With the week I’ve had, what I keep missing is commenting on your posts. :hugs: I’m still out here and I’m still reading along. I comment when I can.
🤗 No worries. I know where to find you and yeah, busy times keep time slipped away from us. That said, I’m always interested in your thoughts so comment when you can and don’t stress when you can’t! ❤
