Wednesday’s Words – Guest Blogging and Stuff

glasses-keyboardI’m over at my friend and sister author Siobahn Muir’s THE WEIRD, THE WILD, AND THE WICKED Blog doing an interview and discussion about CHRISTMAS MOON. Come on over. You might learn something new about me, the book, or the series. 😉 Plus, there’s a chance to win a copy of one of the Moonstruck books.

The Sooper Sekrit Project(tm) is going well. I’m excited and all my writing mojo is focused on it at the moment.

A week from tomorrow, I’ll be on my way to New Orleans for Heather Graham’s Writers for New Orleans event. I haven’t been in a couple of years so I’m looking forward to returning to the Hotel Monteleone and some of my favorite haunts in the French Quarter. I plan on grabbing some local swag for giveaways after the first of the year. Deja Vu teeshirts, lucky charms (like the glass square Sade keeps in her pocket), and other goodies.

The weather is supposed to go downhill starting today and lasting through the weekend. That’s good. I’ll be forced to stay inside and work. 😉 Or read. Which is work. Right? Market research. And speaking of reading, I’ve just finished J.B. Lynn’s NEARLY DEPARTED. This is a new series for her, about a crime scene cleaner who sees ghosts. I’m almost finished with Siobhan Muir’s THE NAVY’S GHOST. This is a sexy menage story (M/F/M) about three SEALs. I got to beta read it and now I’m rereading it. Good story and VERY sexy stuff! Siobhan is going to loan me Retro and Magic, the heroes of THE NAVY’S GHOST for an interview next Monday. Y’all won’t want to miss it!

The next book up on my list is either Allison Brennan’s COLD SNAP or Cecy Robson’s A CURSED MOON (the new novella from her Weird Girls series). Decisions, decisions. I’m way behind on meeting my Goodreads reading challenge. Well, actually, I hit my 100 book goal in July and added 50 books to it. Then deadlines hit. Sooooo….not sure I’m meet the lofty goal or not. I plan on taking more time to read this month, though I’m not sure I can get 33 books read in 27 days. I read fast but… 😆

So what are you doing the rest of the week and what are you reading?

  1. Yay for the interview, the SSP(tm), and the NO trip! Sounds like loads of fun. Boo for the nasty weather which is supposed to hit us tomorrow. Bleh. Also, yay for reading! Cold Snap was a quick read for me – even if I did have a hardcopy of it. (I read way faster on the Kindle.) 33 books in 27 days?? Yeah, and I’m sitting here wondering if I can make that last 8 – especially since I started reading Les Miserables. At the rate I’m going, this thing is going to take another 45 days to read. But I committed to reading it, and I am enjoying it. Of course, I plan on inserting other more fun books along the way. =o)

As for what I’m doing the rest of this week. I’m going to enjoy today’s nice weather and then hunker down and try to stay warm. Like you said, it should be a good time to get some work done. (Or reading… which is certainly work.)

We colder and clear today. I have one more grocery trip to make to lay in stuff for cold-weather comfort food in case the weathermen are right. We’ll just stay in and warm. Are you the one who likes the cheese biscuits at Red Lobster? Walmart had a display with boxes of mix to make them. Somebody I know was talking about them and when I saw the display your name popped into my head. (Of course, it’s a giant sieve at the moment so no telling what weird info gets caught while the rest drifts away. 😆 )

Got something to say?
