°I’m still running back and forth between home and the hospital, plus expecting to get my revisions back from HE (Harlequin Editor 😉 –STILL celebrating!) so this is quick, down and dirty…but oh-so-yummy! Two ingredients, about 30 minutes, and you get the best biscuits ever!
Silver’s Best Biscuits
1 1/4 cup SELF-RISING flour
1/2 pint whipping cream (unwhipped – LOL)
Mix flour and cream in a medium bowl until dough forms. Roll out on floured surface to about 1 inch thick. Use a glass or round cutter of the desired size to cut dough. Bake in greased pan with sides touching in preheated 400° oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
They’ll be light and fluffy and perfect with gravy, butter, jam/jelly, syrup, or anything you want to put on them.
And no, I didn’t make any to take a picture. You’ll just have to trust me. Enjoy! And share any quick/easy recipes you have.
Oh, and they’re perfect with a side of coffee. So here…have some coffee fae. 😉

That’s a very interesting recipe, Silver – I’ll have to try it out one of these days! Oh, and I’m still celebrating with you 🙂
I had a neighbor who made the best biscuits ever and when she finally shared her recipe with me, I was gobsmacked. I just have to remember to have the ingredients on hand. 😆
Let’s do the Happy Dand(tm). Ready…set…GO! 😉
I’m still celebrating with you too. Need to try this biscuit recipe soon since sounds yummy. Can’t think of ant quick and easy recipes right now. Need caffeine first.
Yeah, that’s sort of why I yanked this recipe when I was going, “Blog? BLOG!?! CRAP!” last night about 10. 😆 I was caffeine deprived too. 😉
Definitely celebrating for you! I told the Kid last night and she told me to pass along congratulations from her. =o)
Looks like an awesome and easy recipe, Silver. Have you ever tried making drop biscuits with this? Because, ya know, I’m too lazy to roll dough out. LOL
Pass my thanks back to her, B.E.! I haven’t tried drop biscuits. If you try them, let me know how they turned out. 😀
I agree – interesting recipe. May have to try them someday – I usually make Bisquick biscuits and sometimes I flavor them with tiny bits of cheese and garlic salt to imitate those at Red Lobster 😀
Prayers for LG !!!
I always have Bisquick around and don’t always have the self-rising flour and whipping cream unless I put it on the grocery list. But they are a definite treat when I make them! Did you know that there is a Red Lobster cheese biscuit mix? I found it at Walmart. Haven’t tried it, but I’m tempted to buy a box and see. 🙂
