Monday – Blood Moon Eclipse Book Sale

Blood Moon Cover 680It’s Monday. All day. But that’s okay. A new week, a new celestial event, and a big sale! Tomorrow’s lunar eclipse is being billed as a Blood Moon. Well, that obviously means I need to put the entire Moonstruck series on sale. BLOOD MOON is marked down to 99 cents and all the others are marked down to $1.99. Tell your friends! Prices will go up next weekend!

I’m at work on the novella for the Christmas anthology for Wild Rose. Returning to my Faerie world, this will be Abhean’s story. I plan to work on it until I get the go-ahead on COWGIRL’S SWEETHEART. Yes, it was sent off to Mr. HEd on Friday. He had some great news for me. COWGIRL’S DON’T CRY may have an early 2015 release date!

I spent the weekend cleaning my office, sorting through 3 years of paperwork that had stacked up (I’m looking for some documents that didn’t make it into a file like they should have 😦 ), and getting a knockdown on cleaning the house. While under deadline, I let things slide. Lawyer Guy did his thing out in the garage and we got a bunch of crap thrown out, given away, and generally rid of.

Still reading contest books so I can’t discuss titles. Ah well. That said, I did request two books from the library that I plan to squeeze in, THE SHAMBLING GUIDE TO NEW YORK and GHOST TRAIN TO NEW ORLEANS, both by Mur Lafferty. I read GUIDE a year or so ago and enjoyed it. I want to reread it before reading the second in the series. The main character is a human who goes to work for a preternatural publisher writing travel guides for the Coterie, which pretty much covers all the paranormal critters in the world. 🙂 I obviously enjoyed the first book, but it’s been long enough since I read it, I want the reread to remind me of the characters.

What did y’all do this weekend and what’s on your reading list for this week?

  1. Yay for the Blood Moon sale! I just tweeted about it. =o) Also yay for your novella and your novel, and for getting that pesky cleaning out of the way. Go you! Plus, you have time to read? You amaze me.

The weekend was a blur. I’m not even entirely sure what I did. Watched the Masters. BUBBA! Planted some more tulips (cuz they were on sale for Easter). Read. Last week I got through 4 books and started two others (One I gave up on and the other I’m in the middle of). I read Jaws, teh book adaptation of the movie Constantine, Disenchanted & Co. by Lynn Viehl, and Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St. Claire. All pretty good.

And i did Ancestry stuff. Yesterday I found a flaw in my genealogical data (another one) where a story I’d been told didn’t gibe with history. Really chapped my hide. Unfortunately, I think my father was told a story when he was a kid that he misremembered, and when he passed it down it was just accepted as fact. But them’s the breaks when you’re dealing with dead people who can’t tell their stories themselves.

Thanks for the promo, B.E.! I’m glad BUbba won. He’s such a good guy. I love that the post tournament celebration was at Waffle House. 😆

What did you think of DISENCHANTED? I keep meaning to pick up something by Viehl and haven’t. Yeah, like I really have time to read right now! 🙄

LG’s discovered that two–that the family stories passed down don’t always mess with historical fact.

  2. Janet says:

Hey, B.E. – we watched The Masters, too! I was cheering for the young fella – he didn’t win, but he held his own and should be very proud!!

Wow, Silver – I was a slug compared to you. Can’t really remember what I did other than the weekend went by in a blur and now it’s Monday and I’m grouchy! Oh, well – short week 🙂

I’ll pass on the deal to my friends and family who are huge Silver James’ fans!

    • Silver James says:

Thanks for passing along the sale, Janet. And you needed slug time. 😉 I had no choice. The house was in awful shape. I manage to keep up with cooking/dishes and laundry when I’m under deadline but housework? Not so much. Hrm….I wonder if it’s because I HATE housework! 😆

    • We were cheering for Jordan Spieth, too – and he did present himself very well – but we like Bubba, so we were heartbroken that he won.

  3. Liza says:

I need to clean when I get home tonight. My house is a disaster area right now. Really just clutter that needs to be put away, but must be done before my sister and niece get here on Friday.

I walked my first 5K post surgery this past weekend. I finished in just over and hour and am pretty proud of myself. Had a better time than the one I did in November before my surgery, with no pain following the 5K.

I’m reading It Happened One Wedding by Julie James right now. Also have several other review books on my kindle.

    • Silver James says:

Congrats on the no-pain 5K! That is AWESOME!!!! 😀 I have the feeling your idea of disaster and mine are totally different. 😆 I had to empty the vacuum cannister twice each room and then a third time as I did a final pass. Two furry dogs blowing their winter coats, plus tracking in sand from the yard makes for REALLY ugly floors! Plus, the three years of mail/papers that I just tossed in an overflowing bowl on one of the filing cabinets… 🙄 I’m so organized. NOT!

Got something to say?
