I’m weird. I mean, just in case y’all haven’t already figured that out. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that today is Friday the 13th AND a full moon.
See, I live a lot of my life listening to soundtracks in my head. I write that way, too, but that’s sorta normal. I’m talking about walking through the house to fold laundry. Or fixin’ dinner. Or opening my Kindle to pick out a book to read.
Yeah, about those books… I did a lot of back-to-back reading of real paper books. From the library. And I knew books I’d pre-ordered were silently downloading to my Kindle. Which has a name, but that’s a different blog post.
Anyway, I digress. I finished up the last library book for awhile and I opened the Fire to see all the yummy new titles to pick out my next read. And everyone of them was my favorite. Because this song was playing in my head.

Yeah, but you’re my kind of weird. I have songs in my head all the time. Right now, it’s this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y_KJAg8bHI – Wake Me Up by Avicii (didn’t know that until just now… LOL). It’s kind of folksy with a backbeat. But give me an hour and something else will get stuck – whether I want it to or not. I’ll hear something or read something or see something that’ll remind me of a lyric and away my brain goes.
And Hubs and I make up our own songs throughout the day, too. The last one I did was something about the cat leaving tufts of hair on the bathroom rug.
So, yeah, weird. But fun. ;o)
LOL, B.E. I swear you and I are sisters from different mothers sometimes! 😉 I have to admit, the only time I make up songs was when The Only was little and now with Magic Bean Sprout, but only when no one else is around! I saw a deal about Avicii last night and I thought to myself, “Self, you need to Youtube that song!” I got distracted (so what else is new, right?) and lo and behold, here it is! I love the way the Universe works sometimes. 😀
