Monday of Awesomesauce

cute-puppy-pictures-hello-im-here-to-make-your-monday-suck-less Weekend wrap-up: I stayed in bed most of Saturday. Between sinuses and charley horses the night before, I wanted to sleep. But I ended up reading. FESTIVE IN DEATH. I loved it, though it wasn’t a typical In Death book. I described it in my Goodreads review as a “Kinder, gentler In Death book.” It was. And while I hope the next one is gripping, I enjoyed the heck out of this one because Eve’s character arc was amazing!

Sports: Cards swept the Rockies and are still leading the NL Central for post-season play. My OSU (Oklahoma State) won. That pretender OSU won, too. Against Kent state. Seriously? When was the last time Kent State won a football game. Oh, and VA Tech, the unranked team that beat Ohio State the previous week and got ranked? Yeah, they got beat by East Carolina, ANOTHER unranked team. But you can bet, the pretender will be in the top 25. And the real OSU STILL won’t be ranked except by the AP poll and that’s at #25. Mother*muttermutter* goose. Ah well. Upward and onward! Oh, and OU won, too. So my teams swept this weekend. Sports life is good.

News. There will be some this week. 😉 First…this:

FAERIE FAITH goes on sale November 10, 2014. Price: $2.99

Abhean, the fae harper, is exiled to the mortal realm until he finds the other half of his heart. As Venn McLyre, the NYC street musician, he has no memory of his true nature—or his magic. When he steps in to save reluctant bride, Gwyneth Riley, he could lose more than his heart—he could lose his immortality.

Socialite Gwyn Riley is resigned to marrying Sumner Barrett, son of her mother’s best friend. A marriage based on duty to family and convenience, she has no pretensions about love. It takes the magic touch of a poor musician to ope! n her heart to the possibilities. When three couples arrive to remind Venn of his identity, he has only moments to stop Gwyn’s wedding. Is he too late, or will the King of Tir Nan Óg step in to grant Abhean and Gywn their own happy ever after?

Be sure to check in tomorrow for more news. I’ll have a fun treat for Tuesday! 😉 And there will be contests this week. 🙂

How about the rest of you? Good weekend? How was your weather? Temps here have been loverly and we had rain Saturday. It. Was. Awesomesauce!

  1. Ugh. Sorry about your sinuses and your charlie horses. (You know what they say about charlie horses – you’re dehydrated.) Yay for laying in bed all day, though. And getting to read. I know you’ve got a lot that needs doing, but you also need a break (even if it was a forced one.)

I’m so glad your Cards are doing well. The Yankees suck this year. I can’t believe they aren’t even going to make the playoffs. Turds. Yay for your football teams, too. Michigan won, but man, did they look like crap doing it. Bleh. And MSU (the real one – not the Missouri one) had a buy. I felt really bad for VT. And even worse when the Buckeyes trounced whoever they were playing. I think I already need to wash out this season and hope for next year.

YAY!!! I can’t wait for Faerie Faith. And =op for the teasing you’re doing. It’s like saying ‘I got you a really awesome b-day present but you can’t have it yet’. (i bet you’re getting a kick out of it, though.) ;o)

The weekend here was gorgeous. Of course, when the temps get cooler, I get to thinking about all the outside stuff I put off because it was hot, which leads me to things like scrubbing the deck. (Arrr, ye maties.) I’m still paying for that, but no rest for the wicked because there are windows to be washed. Later. Also, I’m still slogging through the proofread of WIOH. Yes, I will take you up on your offer, but right now, this sucker is so covered in little drops of mud. It ain’t going nowhere looking like this.

Since this is Jeters retirement year, I’m really sorry the Yankees are *pbhthhh*. We’re heating back up this week, but not near like last week! 80s and low 90s I can deal with. I sort of would like to go out and do some yardwork *looks shifty-eyed* but…deadlines.

My cramps are a result of the way my body processes potassium. I’m weird. They’ve plagued me my whole life. And as soon as the ragweed dies, I’ll be good on the breathing front. 😆

      I’ll be here when you’re ready. 😉
