Universal Daylight Savings Time

universeI needed this message today. My routine has yet to settle with the arrival of the Magic Bean Sprout in my daily sphere. I have to reassess priorities and time and schedules. Getting bent out of shape over stuff I can’t change is not only impractical, it is counterproductive. So…tomorrow is a new day, a new outlook, and I shall spend my time differently.

There’s so much time in a day, Silver.

You could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on 3 different continents.

You could outline the book you’re going to write, start the screenplay adaptation, and watch “Gone With The Wind,” before the sun even sets.

Spend a day at work, and still have 16 hours left over.

Or you could just think 60,000 different thoughts as you tool all over.

Hey, the record for climbing Mt. Everest is under 9 hours, leaving 15 to nap and go Yeti searching. There’s so much time in a day, Silver. So much.

You’re rich,
The Universe

Especially, Silver, when one stops claiming there’s so little of it, huh?

How about the rest of you?

It’s so easy to get lost in the everyday stuff and lose track of time. That’s my problem sometimes. Like yesterday for instance–It took most the day to fix my FB stuff, then there was a webcast I wanted to listen to of authors on the NA genre and then a twitter party about the same subject I also attended. I did do #1LineWed…and my day was gone. No writing done at all.

In other words….squirrels. Those damn squirrels.

Yes. I got lost yesterday, and forgot I hadn’t responded to anyone. *headdesk* Sprout isn’t napping much so there are times the best I can do is scroll through FB and click like while he tries to eat the keyboard. 😆

  2. I was having a conversation with my friend at the bank the other day. She was talking about how she is more productive on other things when she’s working full time than she was when she didn’t work. Something about only having a set amount of time to get everything done spurred her to work harder than having all the time in the world. And I totally got that. (Which is why I’m friends with her, I guess.)

It’s not the time you have, it’s what you do with the time you have. And I think you’re a champion at putting your time to its best uses. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to work with Sprout around. (Probably right about the time when they find daycare for him – then you’ll have to adjust back.)

    :hugs:

This! It’s profound and dead on and I’m stealing it for another Universal Thursday! (With credit to you, of course. 😉 ) And yes, I’ll adjust. Family does for family. That’s just the way it is. *nods*

  3. Ashlynn I agree you look at the clock, then again and its Oh Shit where did it go and look at what I still need to do?
B.E. yes Silver does more with her time, then alot of people do.
You are right bitching for what can’t be change, takes up time and energy!!
RESTLESSNESS and FOCUS seem to be my enemy, its sucking time/energy at a fast rate. I seem to have reader burnout again, Don’t worry Silver Blue Moon will be on my tablet as soon as itsreleased-lol
Well its thursday, so friday is almost here- thank good.
    Have a great day everybody!!

Kimber, that was me yesterday! And it’s amazing what can be accomplished with the help of insomnia. Of course, I always worry the written word won’t always be coherent but hey…words on the page, right? 😉

Got something to say?
