Just a couple of reminders…CONTEST! *points to the blue graphic on the right* Free stuff! And uhm…I have a new release, in case y’all had forgotten. FAERIE FAITH. Read it. Review it. Please? *makes big puppy-dog eyes*
I have a quote included in this new release, PLOTTING AND PLANNING. Written by Suz deMello, this handy-dandy little reference book on writing process is informative and entertaining. Suz has a breezy style with some great information and quotes from other authors defining their style. It’s $2.99 and worth the price if you need some writing inspiration and are looking to define your process.
On the reading front, I finished off Shelley Laurenston’s PRIDE series. They. Are. Hysterical. I highly recommend the series if you’re looking for lighthearted, sexy paranormals with an interesting overall story arc. First book in the series is THE MANE EVENT. I didn’t realize that Laurenston also writes dragon shifter books (Dragon Kin) under the pen name G.A. Aiken. I’m currently reading, Nalini Singh’s SHIELD OF WINTER, in her Psy-Changeling series. There’s another one in that series coming out soon, which title escapes me at the moment. Deadline Brain. It’s a real syndrome! 😉
What are y’all reading these days?
I love G.A. Aiken! That’s a pen name? Huh. Anyway, her Dragon Kin series is made of awesome. Crap, now I have to go find her Shelley Laurenston stuff. I do not have time or the loose fundage for another auto-buy. Ugh.
I’m a bad monkey. I sat down to read last night and totally forgot about downloading Faerie Faith – which sucks because the books I tried started both failed miserably. I could’ve used some Silver James. So, right now, the only thing I’m reading is a marketing book called “Let’s Get Visible” by David Gaughran. Pretty good stuff. I’ll start yours later and review it after. Poke me if I forget to do Amazon as well as Goodreads. I always do one and not the other. Derp.
Bought, downloaded and reading right now. Squee!
Glad you’re enjoying it, B.E. And thanks for buying! 😀
As for Shelley/G.A., I don’t know about your local library system but mine has all her Pride books digitally for loan through Overdrive. I’m not sure but you might also be able to get “library” loans directly from Overdrive. Worth looking into! I do know they have an App. Much cheaper than buying the 9 books though they do go on sale for cheap occasionally.
It. Was. AWESOME!
Fitting end for the series, then? And * ❤ you. Just sayin'… *does a little squee dance* Glad you liked it. 😳
Okay. that last smiley is supposed to be a blush. Don’t know why it’s frowning. 😦
I wrote a different review for Amazon and then adjusted my Goodreads review. I shouldn’t review things when I’m full of the feels. I just come off like a fangirl squeeing nonsense. LOL
Shoot, forgot to get your book! I think I even spread the word then didn’t. Bleh on me! Will do today!!
Right now I’m reading a book on publishing with createspace — tips and tricks type of thing. Pretty good actually. Slow reading though. Much rather read fiction.
I’m also struggling to figure out which genre I’m should push my books in. Talk about a tough one! It should be easy…er nope.
Word of mouth is priceless so thank you, THANK YOU! Now go get my book for yourself and read it! Gah. I hate when I have to read nonfiction. Fiction? Man, I can read a book a day. Nonfiction? I’m asleep every 20 pages. 😆
Yeah…those genre/subgenres and keywords are a minefield! I’ll dig through my files and see if I can’t find some research I have on it. 🙂
Hi Silver,
Read the beginning of Faerie Faith and you hooked me. Just bought it.
Awwww! Jan!!! Thanks! Realize that’s the last book in the series, even though it’s standalone. Hopefully, you’ll be all motivated to go read the first three. 😉 *bwahaha*
Thanks for the shout-out, Silver!
