So, y’all know I’m big on Starbucks frappucinos. I’ve also done something similar at home using leftover coffee. Then Sade, who doesn’t cook–like at all dropped this in my inbox.
5 Min(s)
5 Min(s) Prep
2 servings, 1 cup each (Unless you’re Sade or me, and then it’s just ONE big glassfull! 😉 )
Make a refreshing Coffee Slushie, perfect for a hot summer day. This grown-up Coffee Slushie combines instant coffee, milk, sugar and ice cubes.
What You Need
1 Tbsp. MAXWELL HOUSE Instant Coffee, any variety
1-1/2 cups ice cubes
3/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
Let’s Make It
1 – Place all ingredients in blender container; cover. Blend on high speed until ice is crushed.
2 – Pour evenly into 2 glasses.
3 – Serve immediately.
Kitchen Tips
Tip 1 – Mocha Slushie: Add 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup to ingredients in blender before blending.
Tip 2 – Vanilla Coffee Slushie: Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla to ingredients in blender before blending.
Tip 3 – Special Extra: To serve in frosted glasses, store clean empty glasses in freezer. Fill with prepared beverage just before serving.
Note: Sade informs me that you can add more coffee if you want stronger coffee flavor. (ie. MORE caffeine. 😆 )

Anyway, you might want to try this one at home–the drink AND the book. FYI, all the Penumbra books are available from a wide-range of retailers. Just click on the cover or the titles. The links go to a universal landing page where you can find your favorite store.
Just out of curiosity, what’s your favorite flavor?
Coffee! I needs it. Nuff said.
I love LOVE love Sade and her gang of supes. I hope she breaks her silence so you can finish this book, so I can read this book.
Hmm, favorite flavor? For coffee, I think I like French vanilla… or hazelnut… or mocha. Yeah, I don’t do one favorite very well.
Sade’s just worried about pissing Sinjen off. Today, she’s sneaking off to Paris on a day flight, leaving behind a note for him because…vampire = day sleep. And yes, she is being a chicken$h!+. LOLOL I like French vanilla hot. Mocha cold. And just plain ol’ milk and sugar day in and day out. 😀 This is DEFINITELY going to be a full-pot day! LOL
