Thursday Thoughts: Universal Civility

At a time when protesters storm into restaurants to berate customers, when they chase people through airports, and accost them in hallways and on elevators, in front of their homes and their children…

At a time when there is far more shouting than communicating…

At a time when no one is listening…

The Universe drops this quiet message into noise.

Whatever you have to say, Silver, say it with love.

Love you,
The Universe

And whatever you have to hear, Silver, hear it with love.

It works both ways. Just sayin’…

  1. There is that. There’s also, as Mom used to say, ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all’. Which is getting harder by the day, lemme tell ya.

There seems to be a disturbing lack of civility out there and I don’t need to tell you which side it’s on. I read the news and I’m like ‘holy cow’ (okay, I don’t say cow). They must not have had good mothers to teach them how to act in public. ;o)

    • Silver James says:

Yeah, my tongue and the insides of my cheeks are bloody from biting back what I really want to say. Between the incivility and the hyprocracy, I’m ready to…well… Yeah…I have a meme for that that I’ll post over on FB today. 😉

  2. James says:

Amen! Unless we can agree to disagree civilly, there is going to be no communication, just anarchy.

    • Silver James says:

Sadly, James, we are already descending into anarchy. I hope cooler heads prevail and people can put aside their anger and outrage and learn to simply talk to each other. :/

Got something to say?
