Tuesday Titles: Micah’s Mess

Micahs Mess-Niki DaningerI’m very, VERY pleased today to be visiting with Niki Daninger, an old friend and now a debut author. Hi, Niki, and welcome. Tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up on Long Island – I was what you might call an artsy-fartsy nerd. If I wasn’t drawing, I had my nose stuck in a fantasy book. I always thought I’d go into illustration, my earliest dream was to be a Disney animator, but alas, that field was too competitive for me. I never thought I’d be an author because I hated writing in school. It wasn’t until after college, and a particularly vivid dream, that I decided to give it another try.

Your book comes out Thursday, October 1, as part of an anthology, yes?

Yes. MICAH’S MESS is in “Bewitching Desires – A Savannah Coven Anthology. It’s a paranormal romance, as are all twelve stories in the anthology. There are stories of Love, Hate, and Desire, and the anthology is packed full of Witches, Warlocks, Werewolves, Ghosts, and even a Reaper. All based around the great holiday of Samhain – or, as mere humans call it, Halloween. The witches of the Savannah coven are all preparing themselves for their favorite holiday, but on the night when humans and spirits collide nothing ever goes as planned. Journey with an angel across the country, with a reaper chasing a soul hiding in someone else’s body, to a haunted hotel, with a reluctant supreme witch who’d rather give her powers to someone else, not to mention eight other wild and intriguing encounters.

My hero, Micah, is a self proclaimed selfish-ass, who wants nothing more than to take over the Savannah Coven. He doesn’t need an angel looking over his shoulder, and he doesn’t need to feel responsible for her safety. But fate intervenes. As the two travel across the southern half of The United States, they must face demons—his and hers, and discover the one thing that can save them both.

Readers can preorder it now or buy it Thursday from AMAZON or BARNES AND NOBLE.

This sounds like an awesome story, Niki, and how cool that all the novellas in the anthology are interconnected. Fun reading! I’m going to get a little up-close and personal now because inquiring minds want to know. When did you know you were a writer?

After my first NaNoWriMo. Before that, I was just goofing around, making up characters, worlds, bits of dialogue and plots.

I remember my first NaNoWriMo! LOL I finally learned how to write all the way through a book without editing so I could actually get to THE END! Next question. What three authors, living or dead, would you want to have dinner with?

Well I’ve already had lunch with you soooo… 😉 Hmmmm, good question. I’d have to say my favorite three authors from growing up. Not because I think we’d get along, but because their stories still live inside me. Melanie Rawn, Tad Williams, and Terry Brooks. Did you see the Shannara series is gonna be on TV?!? I’d love to have dinner with him while on set in New Zealand 😀

Awww. Aren’t you sweet! I enjoyed our visit in New York several years ago. It was fun sneaking you into the literacy signing. 😉 And I agree about the Shannara TV show. I’m looking forward to seeing it, mainly because of the gorgeous sets and I’ve only read the first book–VERY long ago–so have no preconceived notions of the characters. Speaking of New Zealand, are you a jet-setter or armchair traveler?

I wish I could jet-set but alas, I am an armchair traveler.

As long as we’re talking about traveling, where would you most like to visit?

Hawaii – hands down.

To everyone who knows me, this next question will come as no surprise. Coffee, Tea, or Other?

OJ! Actually, I am gaining an appreciation for fruity teas.

Are you a glass ½ full or ½ empty kind of girl?

½ full. I have my pessimistic moments but I’m a bubble, can’t keep me down for long.

This is true. You are effervescent! 😉 What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Harry Potter to my girls. I haven’t had much time recently for myself.

I’m sure they’re enjoying it and what fun to spend special time with them. What’s next on your reading list?

Not for the girls, for me. I’d like to read The Diviners by Libba Bray.

Hrm. Not familiar with that title. I’ll have to check it out. We’d like to know a little about your writing process. When and were do you write?

I can write at any time and in any place but I am at my best when everyone else goes to bed.

I remember those days. What about music? Do you have a writing soundtrack?

UGH – I can not write in a quiet house, I NEED music. I have eclectic tastes though. I listen to everything from soundtracks, to heavy metal. Spotify is my friend 😉

Ah, another music fan! Let’s talk about inspiration now. How about your characters? Where did you come up with them? Did anyone or anything inspire you to create them?

Honestly, I can’t think of any inspirations, Micah and Isolde just came to me one night and I plotted out most of their story before bed. I figured few would have a male lead and I’d never told a story solely from a guy’s POV.

I enjoy writing from the guy’s POV so yay for you doing it! What about your plot?

This is the first time I’ve written a short story so plotting it for under 15K was hard. I wanted some action and I knew my characters had to get away – they needed time to get to know each other, so I sent them on a journey. (That would be the fantasy lover in me rearing her head.)

Road trip! I’ll bring the junk food. What about setting?

The story is part of an anthology, so all the stories needed, at some point, to be in Savannah, Georgia.

Oooh. Savannah. That’s one place I’ve always wanted to go and haven’t managed to get there yet. Some day! So…process. Are you a Plotter (carefully plot books), Pantser (write from the seat of your pants), or Puzzler (write scenes and then fit them together in the right order)?

I start out as a puzzler. Random scenes and bits of dialogue come to me and I try to figure out who the characters are, what they want, where everything takes place etc.. Once I get that all figured out I turn into an obsessive plotter. I outline everything in minute detail, from start to finish. Do some things change along the way? Yes, but not often, and if they do, I adjust my outline.

Ah, a writer after my own heart. Well, except for that excessive plotting thing after the puzzle. 😉 Any superstitions–must-have foods, shirt, pen, or other little idiosyncrasies you want to share?

Nope, I’m not superstitious at all. My only necessity is music.

I can’t write in a void either but I’ll admit to a secret superstition of my own. Whenever I start a new project, I always open a folder in Scrivener titled “Last Chapter.” Then I open Chapter 1 and start writing. What’s your next project?

I am 150k into a story that I had to put on hold to join this anthology. I am hoping to finish it soon. It is about a shapeshifter who is trying to avenge his parents and the little human who turns his life upside down.

Wow! That’s going to be a long story. I know you’ve been working on it for quite awhile. I’m looking forward to the finished project! Niki, thank you so much for “dropping by” today for our virtual visit. Y’all don’t forget to check out the anthology by clicking on the Amazon or B&N links above. If you want to know more about Niki and her writing and other creative endeavors, you can connect with her on her WEBSITE/BLOG, on FACEBOOK, PINTEREST, and on GOODREADS!

If you have any questions about Niki, her writing, or MICAH’S MESS, leave a comment and I’m pretty sure Niki will be happy to reply!

Monday After

More weekend Who saw the Blood Moon lunar eclipse last night? Why am I not “smart” enough to get a sale set up before these big planetary events that play right into the hands of my Moonstruck Wolves. Ah well. Maybe in 2063 or whenever the next lunar super blood moon happens. Ah well. LOLOL

Who watched the end of a CSI Era last night? Oh yeah. I was there for the whole two hours. It went out with a bang.

New TV shows: I’m liking “Blindspot”–quite a bit actually. Not sure how long I’ll stay with “The Bastard Executioner” but for now I’m like…dude! It’s very violent, and some gratuitous sex but it’s written and produced by the guy who did “Sons of Anarchy.” “Rosewood” was okay. I’ll give it a bit. I think it wants to be “Castle” with a Miami detective and a pathologist who does private autopsies. The NCIS premiere had me all WTFOMGBBQ!!! Especially what DeNoso did. No spoilers. I haven’t gotten to “Castle” and a couple of others yet. Writing. Reading. Priorities.

Reading: Speaking of, I gave up. Friday night I was frustrated by a lot of things. Nothing bad just…stuffs. I’d been feeling the pull to reread NAKED IN DEATH. (I reread the entire In Death series last winter.) I gave up, needing a little reading chicken soup. I can’t even come close to describing how much I love that book. And of course, reading it means I have to read the next two because…Dallas and Roarke. And Summerset and all sorts of emotional stuff that just makes me want to grow up to be JD Robb. *sigh* I downloaded and read a series of novellas by Joanna Wylde set in her Silver Valley/Reapers MC world. Now I want to reread them. *sigh* So many new books and I find myself falling back on books and series that I’ve previously read and enjoyed. I’ve read 182 of my 200 books for the Goodreads challenge. Actually, I have more than that. I haven’t recorded the 18 book I read for the RITAs this year, nor have I added in my reread of NIGHT SHIFT (looking for typos to fix before I print copies for contests) or the 2 1/2 In Death books. After I finish IMMORTAL IN DEATH, I’m previewing a book for a cover quote for a friend and after that, I’m not sure what I’ll read.

Writing: I did some. I added a scene to the Russian’s book and I edited/added to a chapter in THE DEVIL’S CUT and started a brand new chapter. It’s still a struggle, but I’m hoping the characters are starting to talk again. Keep your fingers crossed.

Fun Stuff: Thomas the Tank Engine. Yay! “He” made an appearance yesterday at the Oklahoma Railway Museum. The whole family went. Hopefully, Only will share pics so I can share here. We went in a short train ride in the open car. Stormageddon had fun. The museum is gonna do a Polar Express event at Christmas. Another train ride and someone reading the book. Fun stuffs!

And that was my weekend. What did y’all do? Be sure to come back tomorrow. I have a special edition of Tuesday Titles with extra-special guest, our very own Niki Danninger! She’ll be here talking about her upcoming release, MICAH’S MESS, part of the Savannah Coven Anthology. 🙂

Friday Sinema – Black Pontiac and a Pocket of Cash

Swear to goodness I am going to incorporate a scene like this video in one of my books. I just have to find the right one. Maybe one of the Nightrider books. Hrm….

In the meantime, enjoy my new favorite song and video (which ranks right up there with Brantley Gilbert’s BOTTOMS UP!)

Have a great weekend! And may your team win. 😉

And a happy birthday to my Dad, who taught me to appreciate books, reading, imagination, baseball, football, and a good country song. It’ll be 20 years this December and I still miss you every single day. ❤

Thursday Thoughts: Universal Understanding and Appreciation

universeI just thought RDR#3 was a PITA to write. For the most part, Clay and Georgie understood their story and were ready to play their parts to bring about their Happy Ever After. Their fight was getting into bed. They are all about the googly eyes and tortured sighs but getting them to do the deed? Like. Pulling. Chicken. Teeth! Piece of cake. At least compared to Caleb and Adele. They don’t even meet until Chapter 11. Chapter FREAKING ELEVEN! Okay, there is a reason for that. They have separate stories, investigating separate crimes until their cases cross, and when they do? Yeah, what is they said in Ghostbusters? DON’T CROSS THOSE STREAMS! Except it wouldn’t be any fun if they didn’t.

Anyway, I am making headway. I’m shooting for a Halloween release. Maybe. Or Thanksgiving. Hopefully Halloween. Because…well…y’all don’t want to know what I’m staring at in the way of deadlines. It makes my head hurt. And I get all teeth-gnashy and hand-wavey and…and…*FLAIL* When this message from the Universe popped up on my radar, I knew EXACTLY to whom the big U was referring. *stares at Caleb, Adele, and the whole crew in THE DEVIL’S CUT*

You’ll know they understand you, Silver, when they start appreciating you.

And you’ll know you understand them, when you start appreciating them.

Oh, the simplicity –
The Universe

Which does not mean you have to fawn all over them, Silver, nor even agree with with them. Sometimes appreciation is the most fun from a great distance… Whoo!

Is there anyone, real or imagined, this fits in your life? You don’t have to mention them. You know, that whole protect the guilty until they’re proven innocent thing… 😉

Wednesday Words: Questions

wurkn-on-mai-plan-for-word-domination-caleb-pupTo be or not to be, that is the question. Whether tis nobler to suffer… Oh. Hi. Yeah, in case you didn’t guess, today’s #1LineWed theme is questions. So, here. Enjoy this scene from THE DEVIL’S CUT where Caleb and Adele play 20 Questions. Plus, bonus, this is their first meeting. 😉

Crime scene tape fluttered around the front door. Adele gave the Ford Explorer with New Mexico tags a cursory glance. More interesting was the uniform from Evergreen PD sitting in his patrol car, head back, snoring. She tapped on his window and he jumped so hard he rammed his crotch into the steering wheel. She bit her lips to keep from laughing.

The guy glowered as he lowered his window. “What?”

She flashed her CBI ID and nodded toward the SUV. “Who’s here?”

“FBI.”

Dang it! She should have known this would happen, but how did the news leak?

“How long has she been here?” Everyone in law enforcement had heard of Special Agent Sade Marquis, head of some fancy FBI unit that dealt with the magicks.

“Don’t know who you’re talking about. It’s a dude. He showed up at the station this morning to see the chief. After lunch, chief sent me out here with him to unlock the door. Dude told me to wait outside. Worked for me. This place gives me the creeps.”

Yeah, she knew that feeling. “Great. Fine. Log me in as going into the scene.”

“Copy that.”

Adele pushed open the massive door and stepped inside. Her boots echoed on the granite floor with a dull thud. Standing in the living area, she debated where to start.

“Who are you?”

She screamed before she could catch herself, and whirled to face the man standing in the archway that led downstairs. “Crickets on a cracker. You scared the bejeezus out of me. You must be the Fed.”

“Guilty as charged. And you are?” He raised a bushy brow at her, a brow that got lost under a fringe of messy dark hair. His cheeks and rather chiseled jawline were covered with fine, dark scruff. Amber eyes watched her, unblinking, and her hind brain considered survival. Which meant running. Like crazy. But her human brain decided that was a bad idea. She wasn’t prey.

“Adele McCoy. Colorado Bureau of Investigation.”

“Ah, yes. The tech investigator.”

She bristled but bit back a retort. “Turn about’s fair play. You are?”

“Special Agent Caleb Jones.”

Her libido sighed and fluttered eyelashes at him as he prowled closer. Adele froze while her inner slut squeed. Wait? What? She had an inner slut? Very Special Agent Caleb Jones was the enemy. Here to snatch her case away.

“I understand you have the scene evidence?”

“Uh huh.” God, was she drooling? Not that he wasn’t drool worthy—all six musclely feet of him. Her fingers itched to brush the shaggy hair out of his eyes. Her lips actually tingled as he dropped his eyes to look at her mouth.

“You should breathe, Ms. McCoy.”

“Uh huh.” She was breathing. Wasn’t she?

A smile crept across his face and she wanted to bite his full, bottom lip. She was in so much trouble. He leaned down and her breath caught in her lungs, which was bad because now his leather jacket tickled her breasts through her cashmere sweater.

“Do you have them with you or do we need to go to your office?”

She wanted to inhale again, to breathe the air from his words. She didn’t. Instead, she exhaled with her third brilliant reply since his appearance. “Uhm…”

Poor Adele. She’s just been slapped upside the head with a dose of Magick Male™. Who else has questions to share?

Tuesday Tiddlybits

Coffee squirrelI feel like the dog in “UP”–SQUIRREL! So, a little of this, a tad of that, and the odd tid of whatever.

MY BRAIN ON INSOMNIA
Me: Brain, go to sleep.
Brain: You should write SciFi.
Me: Yeah? Uhm…no. I don’t have time.
Brain: You totally should. I mean…look at this commercial!
Me: *watches commercial for some drug*
Brain: See? There’s the name for your main character.
Me: *thinking* Oh, shit. That makes sense.
So here have some names for SciFi characters: Belsomra, Xeralto, Lunestra, Paroxetine, Oteza, Liness, Chantix, Humira…

Brain: I have this totally rad idea.
Me: Go to sleep, Brain.
Brain: No. It’ll be awesome. See, there’s this scene. Remember that gymnast who goes to work for Chasin’ Tail in one of the Nightrider books?
Me: Brain, I’m warning you…
Brain: Seriously, this is awesomesauce. See, she does this lap dance and gets hurt and…
Me: If I get up and write this down, will you shut up?”
Brain: Sure.

I wrote eight pages longhand. At three in the morning. Which turned into 5K words when I transcribed the scene and added to it. And have the plot line for Hollywood’s book. *headdesk*

Brain: You busy?
Me: Yeah.
Brain: *poke-poke*
Me: Busy, Brain. Go away.
Brain: You know that song?
Me: What song?
Brain: It has fire in it. And sleepwalking. And…stuff.
Me: And?
Brain: *whispers in my ear* Totally perfect, right?
Me: *sigh* … *writes climax scene for last book of Penumbra Papers*

Brain: Uhm…
Me: No.
Brain: But…
Me: What part of no don’t you understand.
Brain: *pouts* Fine. I won’t talk about peanut butter pie.
Me: I don’t like peanut butter.
Brain: What?!?! How can that be? How can you not love peanut butter. And pie. Because peanut butter pie!
Me: If I find you a recipe, will you shut up?
Brain: Maybe…
Me: CLICK HERE And if you want that pecan crust, you need to click the link in the comments. Just sayin’…

Who else has a brain like mine? Better yet, who wants one? I’ll trade!

Monday Unday

funny-pictures-i-know-those-feels-monday-catYeah, yeah. I really reaching for titles. Cut me some slack, ‘kay? 😉 Why is today an Unday? Because everything sort of came undone, undid, not done, uhm…get the picture? So, here’s the summation of my weekend…

Writing. I did some. Only…not. I poked around on THE DEVIL’S CUT. Even wrote a scene that gave me insight on how the bad nasty will be defeated. But I’m all freaked out because Caleb and Adele don’t get together until like Chapter 8 or something. Then I remind myself this is an Urban Fantasy, not a traditional romance. I’ll get back to work in it this week. I also need to add words to LAST COWGIRL. I’m to the wedding scene. It shouldn’t be that hard to write. And the scene after will be fun. But… So what did I write? Almost 4K words on the wrong book. Yeah, yeah, there is no wrong book in my list of future projects but with deadlines looming for DEVIL and LAST COWGIRL, I need to be focused on them. But y’all have met Iffy, right? Yeah. Insomnia is my BFF at the moment for a variety of reasons (none of which I’ll get into) and so when an idea struck Friday night, I grabbed a notebook and started writing. Saturday, I transcribed the scribbles before my brain evolved to the point I could no longer read the crazy shorthand that is my longhand cursive. 🙄 I kept writing. And figured out the plot for Hollywood’s book in the Nightriders’ series. I might have to write it next. I really figured Hardy’s book would be book 2 but Wood and Lainey are getting a little insistent. It’s a good plot and I can say that with a straight face, a pot of coffee, and a mostly decent night’s sleep. Still, I need to get back on those more pressing projects.

Sports: OSU won. Big time. Non-conference team but a team that’s played some tough schools close. Final score was 69-14. This Saturday, we play Texas in Austin. It might not be pretty, but my fingers are crossed. OU had a tough time against Tulsa, but they won too. My Cards have clunched a spot in the playoffs but I don’t want them in the Wild Card race. They need to suck it up and start winning so they can clinch 1st in the NL Central. Pirates and Cubs are breathing down their necks. 😦

TV: I have a new hero model. The actor’s name is Damon Dayoub and he played a rather urbane and sexy bodyguard for Jane Rizzoli in the season finale of Rizzoli and Isles. MmmmMmmm, good! (Yes, I finally got caught up with my DVR’d shows–some of them.) Of the new shows that premiered, I caught THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER, which is written and produced by the guy who did SONS OF ANARCHY. It was…different. Brutal. Dark. And very twisty-turny. I’ll keep it on the list for now. This week starts premieres for returning and new shows. I should do a chart or something but I usually end up flipping through the channel grid every night before I pick up a book to read. Maybe my reading will slow down with the new season. I am anxiously awaiting NCIS’s return (Tuesday). I’ve been fretting about Gibbs getting shot all summer. There’s been an unsubstantiated rumor that he plans to back out of weekly appearances in the show and take more of a production role. *FLAILS* I hope not.

Reading: I started a new UF series, The Heights, by Lauren Stewart. She’s created an interesting world but in some ways, her heroine, Addison, sort of reminds me of Meg, from Anne Bishop’s wonderful The Others series. The reminder comes in the “abilities” of Addison, more than personality. I’m also a little worried that this series might turn into the the Weird Girls for me. I started out loving that series but when Celia and Aric never got their HEA, I got so frustrated I stopped reading. I haven’t read the two most recent books in the series so I don’t know if Celia and Aric ever managed to enjoy their mating and love. Frankly, I don’t want to take the chance of being disappointed again. Maybe someday. Anyway, even though The Heights is UF and I’m not guaranteed an HEA, I want at least a HFN and that didn’t happen in book 1, UNSEEN. I’ll give the second book a chance, though there’s a second couple featured in it, the main couple are also there.

So, other than enjoying the rain and cooler temperatures yesterday, that’s pretty much what I did. What about y’all? How’d your teams do? Any good books, movies, TV shows?

Friday Sinema: Fantastic

Okay. I will start watching MTV again–for the first time in years–to see this series when it comes out in 2016. Are you a Terry Brooks/Shannara fan?

Thursday Thoughts: Universal Wake-up Call

universeYou know, when I first read this message from the Universe, I never really equated it to my physical self. Beauty? Eh. I might have had some way back when. I modeled. And I acted. And I had my share of men hanging around. One part of me knew I was attractive, but there was another part that remembered things my mother and brother had said–things that hooked into my soul like burrs on wool socks.

Instead, when I read this, I thought about my writing. For a long time, I considered my writing…ugly. A little like my own self image. I wrote for myself, for the most part. I didn’t share. Oh, I did once. The first “novel” I ever wrote. In the eighth grade. Starring my BFF, Davy Jones, and Peter Noone. That would be Davy of the Monkees and Herman of Herman’s Hermits. Yeah, yeah. I’m older than dirt. We’ve established that. But someone else in the class got their hands on that notebook and…well, the teasing and disparaging remarks did commence. Ah well. I’ve gotten worse in the years since. If you’re going to be a writer, you have to grow a thick skin first and foremost.

Anyway, I eventually decided that I could write, that people might decide they liked reading what I wrote, and so I started my path to publication. But you know? I didn’t really see the beauty until I went back and read the first book I wrote. No, not that awful teenage-angst-filled fan fiction, but the first book I wrote with an eye to publication. Oh, it’s silly and wordy and full of broken rules but twenty years later, it’s still a good story with characters I like and I can see my own beauty in those words.

Do you know what my “why” is, Silver?

Watching you “wake up” one day – mid-stride, mid-cupcake, or mid-email – and truly seeing your own beauty. Crying happy tears, blowing kisses into the wind, and thinking, “I get it! I get Me! I love you, Silver James!” … crumbs falling from your mouth.

Take your time,
The Universe
Thoughts become things… choose the good ones! ®

You loving yourself, Silver, as much as I already do… that’s my “why.”

It was a nice wake-up call.

Wednesday Words: Short and Sweet

wurkn-on-mai-plan-for-word-domination-caleb-pupToday’s #1lineWed theme is basically, “Short and to the point.” Technically, “Short lines: convey your message in as few words as possible.” This should be an easy assignment for me. While I tend to bloviate upon occasion, my characters can get real short when things get down to the nitty gritty. Here’s a short scene between Caleb and Sade from THE DEVIL’S CUT. Y’all try to figure out what’s going on. 😉

“She likes you.”

“How can you tell?”

“She keeps giving me these go-to-hell looks.” Sade furrowed her brow and blinked as she figured things out. “You didn’t tell her, did you?”

“What? That I’m a werewolf?”

“No, stupid. That I’m your sister.”

Caleb looked confused. “Why would I tell her that?”

Werewolves can be so dense sometimes! Sade is rolling her eyes and ready to pound Caleb. And next, we have a slightly longer scene that is still short and to the point. Same book, but earlier in the story.

Seething, Sade demanded, “Where is he?”

The werewolf alpha scratched his chin. “Don’t know.”

“When did you last see him?”

“Couple weeks ago.”

She wanted to scream. Or beat the crap out of the shifter. Neither was likely to happen. Warning growls from the pack trailed off and the cool desert night dropped a few degrees. Sinjen. Here. She could feel him. But how? Why? He was supposed to be in Chicago.

“Come, Sade. They can do nothing.”

His voice washed over her, touched lonely places she’d dammed up since leaving him. “I have to find Caleb.”

“I know.”

She whirled, fists clenched and ready for battle. The look on his face undid her. Like air seeping from a balloon, her tension deflated. His full lips curled into a knowing smile.

“Come with me.” He held out his hand and she took it without thought. With a curt nod to the pack, he led her away.

Inside her SUV, Sinjen cupped her cheek and traced her lips with his thumb. “I’ve missed you.”

“Me too you. Caleb’s in trouble, Sinjen.”

“Then I will help you. The monster under this bed is unlike any you’ve faced before.”

“I’ll figure out a way to kill it.”

“And I will figure out a way to protect you.”

“Nice to know you have my back.”

“And your front.”

“No time to play, Sinjen.”

“There is always time for this.” The vampire kissed her, his lips branding her mouth. “There. That’s better. Now let’s go wolf hunting.”

So what pithy words do you have to share today?
